Have you ever wondered why 72% of Americans over age 40 have allergies? What I am going to tell you will be shocking but true. The dirtest air you breathe is in your own home according to the Federal Goverment of the United States. I have been telling  my patients, friends  and family members for years. Throw away the HOUSEHOLD TOXINS that are making you sick and you dont even know it. In fact you just commited a crime becuase the Federal Does not allow disposal of the items in landfills and they are in your house. The following facts are very distrubing. "The average home today contains more chemicals than were found in the typical chemistry lab at the turn of the 20th century. Of  the chemicals commonly found in homes, 150 have been linked to allergies, birth defects, cancer and psychological abnormalities. Stated by the Consumer Product Safey Comission." After annalyzing 2983 chemicals used in personal care products, 884 were found to be toxic stated by the National Insistute of Occupational Safety and Health." More children under age 4 die of accidentaly poisionings at home then are accidentaly killed at homes by guns, stated by the National Safety Council."  In 1985 the EPA reported that the toxic chemicals in household cleaners are 3 X more likely to cause cancer than air pollution. With your childs long term health at stake, should these chemicals remain in your home?  In one study conducted over a 15 year  period, women who worked at home, had 54% higher death rate from cancer than womem who had jobs away from the home. The study concluded that the increase death rate in the women was due to daily exposure to the hazardous chemicals found in ordinary household products. Stated by the Consumer Products Safety Comisison. All the chemicals and gases are filtering torough your house. I know, you think I am over reactive. To prove my point the next time you go to the grocery store in the isle where all these items are shelved take a wiff. Wee. What you are smelling is called outgassing and these vapors are coming out of the product into the air. So do you think you are so special that this outgassing does not occur in your home?  Sure, go ahead and rush to your cabinet and look at the back of the bottle of your window cleaner, the stain remover, the toilet bowl cleaner, your aerosol, your laundry soap, your dishwashing detergents. The list goes on. Well, these chemicals are not listed on the back of these containers. WHAT??? I have a list of all the items that you think are safe that you are using in your home with all the chemical ingredients listed specifically from the National Poision Conrol Center with all the chemicals.
